AliasMenu 3.0: custom OS X system menus
updated 08:45 pm EST, Thu January 30, 2003
Benoit Widemann announced today ($25), a Mac OS X add-on that adds user-defined menus to the menu bar. Each menu extra has a corresponding folder and the menu automatically reflects the folder's content. AliasMenu brings the metaphor of the old Apple menu one step further, while keeping its intuitive way to organize the menus' contents, according to the developer. Version 3.0 allows menus created with AliasMenu 3.0 to be mixed with Apple's system menus and other third parties menu extras. The latest version also includes Unicode support and interface enhancements.
