is billed as an anti-spam protection Web-based service for consumers and small businesses, which the company says works with all e-mail accounts including POP3, AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN, IMAP and Juno. Users can establish Approved and Blocked lists and can also import names from all their e-mail accounts for pre-approval: "When e-mail arrives in the inbox, the program eliminates blocked e-mail and places all non-approved messages in quarantine. It then automatically sends an e-mail to each sender asking them to click on an embedded link. Once senders do so, their names are placed on the Approved list, their messages are returned to the inbox and all future e-mail will go through." The Home version supports a single e-mail account and offers two levels of security for $3.22 per month ($10 quarterly), while the Professional version manages an unlimited number of e-mail accounts and offers three levels of security for only $5.32 per month ($16 quarterly). Both versions are available for a free 30-day trial.

    Wow

A paid service that does the exact same thing as mail's junk mail filter and OS X's built-in firewall. Sign me up!

    No Advantages of OSX Mail

I looked at it and don't see much in advantages over Mac Mail. I don't like that my account would be accessed by a third party. I'll stick with Mail -- not to say this isn't useful for someone.

    The funny thing is...

If we got an email about this, we'd delete it as spam, or Mail would filter it out...

    Its not right

It just doesnt feel right to spend money to eliminate something you shouldnt be getting anyway. Like why buy a Telezapper? Its much more fun to just tell the telemarketer piss off. Or whats even more fun is to try to sell the telemarketer something. Its a good way to grow your business. It gets some of them quite flustered.

    we

desparately need to IMMEDIATELY implement capital punishment for spammers. Then we need to have a fine of 75% of any companies last annual gross revenue for the company/business being spammed. Lemme tell you, that will put a stop to this scourge right quick.
