    ATI

Kudos to ATI for an excellent product for an excellent platform. Now if only the Ontario Securities Commission would clear K.Y. Ho of insider trading (that is if he is innocent).

    Bah!

Don't get too excited. ATI announced their 9000 Pro AGES ago for retail sale. I had gotten sick of waiting for this card and ended up buying an 8500. Unfortunately, this card doesn't work with my apple display, so I thought i'd wait and attempt to buy an adapter. Sadly, this adapter costs as much as I paid for my graphics cards. (which, of course, was already way more than it's PC equivalent.) At any rate, a kind soul at Microcenter offered to switch out my the 8500 for a 9000 since I had bought it fairly shortly before the announcement of availability. Over a month after this announcement, and i'm -still- using my 8500 waiting for a 9000 to arrive in Kansas City.

    Retail Version

Now, ATI needs to release the retail version of the card and not wait 6 months to do it!! Like they did with the 9000.

    Peed Off

Ya know, if I had a PC, not only would the card have been released for EVERYONE retail, but was released several months ago. I'm looking at my system, in a niche, and new things that could keep me happy with my investment are artifically reserved for new system sales. This isn't the first time, either.

As an Apple user; not only do I have to wait for products to be ported but I'm given second class status because I already have invested in Apple technology.

    No s***

Who gives a c***? "Buy a mac and you can get a card that should have been released to you months ago." BS.

I've been waiting on the 9700 for months now. Now I find out that people buying new computers can get it, but i'm still SOL. That's c***, ATI. Release the f****** retail version! (And don't charge $500 for it! How the h*** can you guys get off charging mac users MORE for YESTERDAY'S TECHNOLOGY?!)

Don't tell us, write a letter to ATI - a real written letter, not an email - emails get deleted, a written letter carries weight.
