- Automatic Duck today released , including Automatic Composition Import (FCP/AE) and Automatic Sequence Export Pro (FCP). Version 1.14 brings more improvements and fixes, and support for Translation of Transfer Modes, allowing ACI, ACI DV and the ACI FCP Suites (Pro and "regular") to translate composite modes from Avid and FCP into After Effects. Version 1.14 is a free update to users of ACI 1.13, ACI DV 1.13 and all users of the ACI FCP Suite and Pro Suite, while updates are $45 for others.
- Wingnut Development has updated its web search utility: Seek 2.6 takes "the hassle out of web searches by bringing you directly to the results of your search in your web browser using 1 of 10 search engines with a total of 56 different search types." Version 2.6 adds basic URL hexadecimal encoding support for special characters and fixes several minor bugs. [180KB]
- Déjà Vu 2.3 is an update to the backup utility for Mac OS X. The preference pane allows you to perform scheduled or manual backups of important folders, or even make a bootable clone of your entire system. It adds notification preferences in the status menu.
