    Way to go Apple!

For those who care.... first post!

Way to go Apple. This could possibly mean something very good if this catches on.

I can't believe how many spelling errors there were in that article!

Good news though. Looks like it is making some noise (albeit a dull roar right now)

    Server sales

Home come Apple isn't pushing their servers more. You barely hear about them. h***, you'd think they would push the fact that they come with the unlimited connection license. I don't even think MS has one of those, just a "Keep adding users for $50 a seat!" kind of deals.

    Re: Mispellig

Judging by your title, the post was to be sarcastic, I take it?

    RE: Server sells

Perhaps Apple is pushing the servers except we, as end-homeuser, won't see it as the "push" is probably done in IT-specific venues (magz, trade shows, etc etc)
Can someone who works with servers let us know how well Apple is advertizing in your field-specific venues?

    They sent a flyer

to our business. It was a large folding thing about the Xserve. Too bad our business is a bakery.

    XServe

Apple has done a great job with the Xserve. They've gone into a market where they've had ZERO experience and NEGATIVE credibility. They've created a good, high value product with an excellent OS and competitive pricing. They've also been low key. I don't know about specs but it's almost a year old now and I suspect they'll be updating it soon.

More importantly, that it's gaining acceptance by IT is SUPREMELY important. Once they trust Macs as servers, they'll be more open to rolling them out to the rest of the company. If Apple can start playing in business again, they have a whole new lease on life.

    Do they offer RAID yet?

Until they do, any serious system guy should go elsewhere....
