Farallon: NetLINE 10/100/1000 24-port Switch

Farallon has announced the NetLINE 10/100/1000 24-port Switch which will be available this month for $1,400. In conjunction with this switch Farallon announces driver support for Mac OS X. [see osx.macnn.com for more info]

    Its aimed at businesses more than anything.
    Obviously not for the home consumer.
    Whats the point though of OS X driver support?
    It should be platform independant like Cisco switches.

    All switches, by definition, are platform independant. Driver support refers to the Gigabit cards, not the switch.
