Apple shares up 10% on rate cut

updated 03:35 pm EST, Wed January 3, 2001

Following a surprise, half point interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve that has sent both the Nasdaq and Dow up nearly 300 points, shares of Apple are trading up more than 10 percent at 16 1/2. Countless big tech firms alike are trading anywhere from 10 to 30 percent higher on average.

    AAAHHH! Not yet! Not yet!

I need a couple of months to save up enough to open an e*trade account first! THEN let the stock price go back up.

    No time like the present

Check out the fool.com I think there are a number of discount brokerages, some like 'buy and hold dot com' that let you in for only a few bucks.

    careful

If you can't afford the small change E*Trade requires for an account, you probably shouldn't be investing.

    Apple Stock

Future of Apple is very bright with new products and OS X which will be soon released. With the another interest cut (0.5%+) expected at the end of January of this month and Apple's new products & OS X sales will boost the Apple stock to its normal price of at least $30 or more within the first half of this year... I hope Apple to make the PDA, Digial Camera, MP3 Player, etc. (like Palm and Intel) that are very popular in these days to be a true winner. I am lucky that I grabbed some Apple stocks at $14/stock in about a week ago. Just hoping it will continuously go up.. :)

    BEOS

BeOS stock went from $.60 to $1.60 in the past day. Glad I got some on Monday. Now I just have to figure out when to get rid of it.

    Dump BeOS

I'd dump BeOS before the company goes under. Also those penny stocks are risky.
