  • Safari Enhancer 1.1 brings compatibility with FullScreenSafari.ape. It enables a debugging menu that offers keyboard and mouse shortcuts, browser identification, Security options, and the ability to specifiy a minimum font size, as well as allowing you to turn off underlines on links and handling direct bookmark importing from Netscape, Internet Explorer, Chimera, Mozilla, OmniWeb, and iCab. ATTN: DEVELOPERS!!

Guys (and ladies... I guess...), make a plug-in that will bring tabbed browsing! Sure, it would be a larger project, but get a nice team together and do it!

    It'd be huge...

    ok

    yes, they do:

    Metallifzer & Carbon

I just want to clarify something that wasn't stated (but will likely be implied by someone later...) about the metal appearance and carbon, as well as iTunes & Quicktime. First, the reason why you can't control the metal appearance on iTunes & Quicktime isn't because they are Carbon apps, but because they draw and handle the metal appearance themselves, rather than using the built in metal apperance. Secondly, it is possible to disable the metal appearance on Carbon applications (programatically, I don't recall if Metallifizer does this) globally, it's enabling the apperance that is problematic for some Carbon applications. If the Carbon apps requires 10.2 or later, then I suspect that it may have no problem with using the metal apperance, but if it runs on earlier systems (or runs on MacOS 9) then it will possibly have drawing problems with the metal apperance.

    email addresses

Since Apple insists on taking your e-mail address in order to download Safari, why didn't they e-mail all the folks who had downloaded it and warn them about the problem?

    hmmm, I wonder why?

I guess you're saying that you gave them your real email address. That's an interesting concept, but not one that I feel comfortable exploring anytime soon.

But before I go let me ask you, do you ever wonder why you get all that spam???

    Re: email addresses

Well, did you uncheck the "Mail me with wonderful Apple information" box like most people who, for some reason, give their reason email address (hey, I do, and I don't get spam, so someone's doing something right).

    Duh BETA

Isn't Safari in beta? Doesn't that neccesarily mean stuff don't work?
