Sonic Desktop today announced the release of , which includes a unique and versatile compilation of percussive soundscapes for creating distinctive, professionally produced backdrops for a wide range of cinematic themes. Edge Volume 5 is a diverse collection of 20 rhythmic tracks spanning numerous musical genres, including Industrial, Jazz, Electronica, New Age, Rap, Tribal and many more. It features live drum performances, processed and layered with hand percussion, Korg Wave and studio effects to create complete rhythmic arrangements. Edge CDs are available in 44k-Pro ($130) and 22k-Multimedia ($70) formats. The 44k version can be purchased at a special introductory price of $100 now through February 9th.
