SoftRAID (Expo booth 2412) has announced a new version of it's RAID disk utility software for Mac OS X, . It improves the speed of data transfers and increases reliability in both RAID 0 (striping) and RAID 1 (mirroring) setups. Compatible with FireWire, ATA, SCSI and Fibre Channel drives, it offers automatic rebuilding of mirror volumes and automatic notification of drive errors. The price is $150 ($100 upgrade), or free for users who made purchases after August 1, 2002.
