FID's new digital audio player "blends audio, pictures, lyrics and text to provide users with the ultimate digital audio experience." It features USB connectivity, 128MB of built-in memory and a SmartMedia Card (SMC) slot for an additional 128MB of memory. It also offers skip-free playback of MP3i, MP3, and WMA files and supports ID3 tag display on its blue backlit LCD. The 730i can also capture up to 35 hours of voice recording using a built in microphone, offers several equalization and repeat modes, and is powered by a single AAA battery (for over 8 hours of playback). It is due in March with (a USB cable, removable belt clip, and PC/Mac software for adding photos, lyrics, and text to files) for $150. A 256MB version will be available in Summer 2003.
