Pinnacle today officially announced .) CineWave 3 works with Final Cut Pro 3 to offer an improved Aqua user interface, increased system performance and new features including more than twenty free real-time effects with the Pinnacle software upgrade, including popular transitions, a variety of keyframeable image control options and a two-way color corrector.

CineWave's included Knoll Light Factory software and Pinnacle's batch capture application CineAcquire both run under "Jaguar". The latter sports new features such as audio meters and the ability to import Avid bins as well as improvements to the CineWave codec provide improved quality and flexibility that enable editors to make specific gamma and chroma control changes. CineWave 3 also provides new CineSuperSync audio capability to deliver true audio/video sync when used with Final Cut 3.0.4. It also now also delivers 24p standard definition support with simultaneous 29.97 FPS external video monitoring.

Users can take advantage of Pinnacle's new 10-bit SDI Pro Digital Plus breakout box ($2,000) with support for up to four channels of AES/EBU, dual SDI outputs and monitoring of analog composite video and RCA unbalanced audio.

CineWave 3 is available immediately for free to registered customers. It is also shipping with all new CineWave systems.
