• Niemeijer Consult today announced SwitchXS, a breakthrough application allowing single-switch access to Mac OS X. SwitchXS, now in beta, is "the first Mac OS X compatible solution announced for motor-impaired users who cannot use a mouse or keyboard but can only press a single switch." • Runtime Revolution (Expo booth 3261) today announced a special preview of Revolution 2.0, its multi-platform development tool. The new release improves and a Jaguar-friendly user interface, spreadsheet fields, XML, Unicode, MIDI, and more. It is offering free upgrades for all new purchases of v1.1.1. • wxWindows 2.4.0 is a cross-platform GUI toolkit, supporting Windows, Linux, Mac OS 8/9/X, and other platforms. The open-source, multi-platform C++ GUI framework can be used to build commercial and free software. It includes bindings for several other languages are available, including Python, Perl, Basic, Lua, JavaScript and Eiffel.
