Alliance 2.0 for Quake 3 Released

Alliance Games has released Alliance 2.0, a massive new mod for Quake III: Arena. Alliance 2.0 features three game types (Regular Alliance, Combat and Instagib), 26 custom CTF maps, new weapons, special effects, radio sounds and many other extra features. As its size suggests, "Alliance is more like a free mission pack rather than just a mod." To celebrate the Alliance 2.0 release, the development team will host a launch party tonight at 8:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. PST) on IRC at irc.stomped.com #alliance! (note the exclamation point as part of the channel name).
