- Kanex Group today released its dock-based MP3 player, Handy MP3 Dock 1.0b, which offers sorting, hierarchical menu, recent albums, keyboard command, and drag & drop functions as well as support for CBR/VBR, ID3 Tags, and long file names. - Game Doctor 2.0 is an update to the popular hints application: "Game Doctor is largest collection ofhints, cheats, walkthroughs, and other game enhancements (called "prescriptions") available for the Macintosh with over 1,300 prescriptions available." - Wine Chronicle 1.1 is a $40 database application designed to catalog, track and manage wine collections. It offers a MS Excel-based import template, data export functions, printing of neck tags, additional fields for location tracking, and new reports for storage location, tasting notes, purchase journal and insurance purposes. - Casady & Greene's iData Pro 1.05 for Mac OS X adds MailSmith e-mail import, better integration with QuicKeys, support for long datafile names in the Datafiles Menu, and other bug fixes and enhancements. The $40 database-driven application tracks all types of information and includes a fast search engine to locate whole or partial records. [form]
- Deep Sky today released SMTP Client Deux 1.2b1, a 4th Dimension component which provides a complete implementation of the SMTP protocol. SMTP Client Deux works on top of its TCP Deux 4D component: "The single greatest feature of SMTP Client Deux is that it does not use the SMTP layer within 4D Internet Commands."
