Boris FX announced the release of 18 real-time plug-ins for Avid's Xpress DV nonlinear editing system. The plug-ins are available now as a free download to users of its package (BCC AVX), which offers a range of compositing, image processing, keying, color, distortion and temporal effects. All the filters work in the same effects interface as Xpress DV's native effects to minimize learning curve and maximize productivity. BCC AVX adds animated apply modes, full control over Z space with intersecting planes, animated lights and cameras, and the ability to map video to three-dimensional shapes. Pricing starts at $600.
