Aspyr today announced it will publish a Mac version of with conversion being done by Westlake Interactive: "As fans of The Sims know, there has always been something missing from their virtual neighborhoods... pets. Now, you can add furry friends to their Sims' families. With forty all-new expanded neighborhoods featuring parks, pet stores, cafes and markets the Sims and their new pets will have a variety of places to sniff, explore and meet their new neighbors." It will be available for both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. The title, now in (internal) beta testing, will ship in December for $30.

    BORE-ING

What The Sims need is sexual interactions.

Sleeping in the same bed is fine for teenagers, but adults want MORE.

Not PETS, more interactions between the people. STDs, true pregnancy, real love triangles.

Frankly The Sims is incredibly boring once you go through a few rounds of finding/keeping a job and maintaining your house. Whoopee. Lets take it to the next level, just imagine how sales will rise.

    Forget The Sims...

They should get right to work on SimCity 4!!! That game looks incredible.

    re: we need

We also need to go out and fight real wars and conquer real civilizations, instead of playing Civilization III. WTF kind of logic is that? Oh, because this computer game mimics certain aspects of real life (building a home, getting a job, getting married, etc.) that must mean I can't do those things anymore because I'm soooo busy playing games. The reason people enjoy The Sims is because it gives them a chance to control someone else's life and play God -- even if it's just a simulation -- not because they don't have lives of their own.

Yes, but some people have such low self esteem that they feel they must belittle others to make themselves seem superior in comparison.
