Apple Store Bay Street grand opening

MacNN reader Eugene Chan has posted a from the store opening.
"Many people had their laptops tuned to the store's Airport network, and several wore current and classic Apple T-shirts. About 225 people were in line when Art, the store manager, invited the noisy crowd, "Come on in!" The store was quickly packed with enthusiastic Apple customers, and the line didn't disappear for several hours. Ron Johnson, Apple's Sr. Vice President of Retail, was there for the opening with his young son, who quickly found the "Kids" section. The outdoor complex, which resembles a city street, is still under construction and some stores and the food court are still not open. Still, store traffic was good, and there was word that one customer purchased several laptops, several G4s and several printers!"
