Epson introduces new printers

updated 09:39 am EST, Tue January 2, 2001

Epson recently introduced the Stylus Photo 790 [German], 890 and 1290 [German] to its line up in the European market. The company also introduced Stylus Pro 5500 and EPL5800L Laser Printer. All the new printers have the new light-fast inks and use the new 2880 DPI Piezo print heads. The Stylus Pro 5500 uses the new pigmented inks with 100 years of light fastness, according to MacFreak. New printers

Any more info on these printers? I have seen nothing on Epson's web site and have found nothing anywhere else on the internet. Haven't called Epson yet though.

    Epson PM-3500c

Hey as long as we are talking epson printers...what is up with their driver support? I bought the PM-3500c because I am in Japan, but they don't make and english version of the drivers, even though the same printer under a differrent name exists in the US. I am using it on a japanese-OS now but I can't put it on my US-powerbook
    Any thoughts?

    Japanese driver

Just load the US driver for the same printer under a different name in USA, or failing that, load the Japanese driver onto you US system and install Japanese fonts for OS9. Its pretty easy to use either way.

    Also in Japan
