- Baxter Computer's October cursor update for Blobber 2.1 adds an Aqua and Graphite cursor to the freeware utility that allows you to modify the "wait cursor" under Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar. [OCU, Blobber]
- Deep Sky Technologies has released BASh v1.8.1, its 4th Dimension component which provides extensive utility functionality for 4D programmers, including a dynamic stack space module for reusing variable space, encoding and cryptography routines, and much, much more. Version 1.8.1 contains 2 new methods for a total of 413 methods across 30 modules of code.
- eLister 2.0 is an offline auction listing assistant for use with the eBay auction service. Version 2.0 includes support for fixed price listings, PayPal payments, post-processing options, audio cues, and support for new template tags. Licensing starts at $30 for six months. [Classic, OSX]
- The $20 IRC client Snak 4.8.6 features improved text display under OS X (requires OS X 10.1.5 or newer), support for system compliant help tags and improved support for AppleScript and includes a new AutoAway script as well as fixes a number of bugs and adds support for new features in some IRC servers. - Rampell Software's AlwaysONline 3.0 ($19), designed to keep users from logging off the ISP, and Unpopular 1.0 ($20), which intelligently eliminates pop-up ads, are now available for Mac OS 8/9. The company released OS X versions of both products earlier this month. A bundle of both products is $35.
- Installgen 1.27 generates install scripts to automate Oracle 9i installation procedures on Mac OS X servers. The update is the first version compatible with Oracle 9.20 (Developer Release 1) on Mac OS X. It is available for $100 on an annual subscription basis and includes free updates and the Perl source code. [2.2MB]
- Pod Manager 1.2 ($8) extracts music files stored in Apple's iPod. The update features improved mp3 tag detection and is now fully Unicode compliant as well as being localized in English, French and Japanese. [215KB]
