Aspyr today announced it will publish Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for the Macintosh (with conversion being done by Beenox): "Skate as the legendary Tony Hawk or one of 12 other pro skaters on 8 massive living levels that are amazingly realistic with intelligent traffic that can be avoided or skated. Now with more tricks than ever, including the revert andflatland tricks like the handstand manual, you can show off using the enhanced Create-A-Skater feature, and Skatepark Editor." The $40 title, available for pre-order, will run under both Mac OS 9 and OS X; the ship date has not been announced.

    No Way

THPS2 was and still is fun, unfortunately Aspyr never updated the game to give us controller support in OSX. I will never buy an Aspyr title ever. They rarely release a game that doesn't require an immediate patch. I got smart and got a GameCube instead.

    Is this a joke?

Come on Aspyr, why don't you just skip 3 and go for 4 (not sure if it is even in PC developement, but I doubt Activision wouldn't be doing so). It just confirms what I've always felt. Gaming is best on a console.

    graphics

cube or playstation is OK, but unless they keep revising the system, updating the hardware, then I prefer the PC. Unreal tournament 2003 is great. Graphics at 1024*768 in 32 bit color are so much better than having to play a game and watching it on tv, A tv is low resolution and details just aren't sharp enough.

    mac gaming

I think mac gaming would be a lot better if there was a lot less pirating. Its way too easy. Same with the OS

    Intelligent Traffic?

Sounds like fun, especially if it improves on v2.

As a bicyclist, I can tell them there's no such thing as "intelligent traffic". Most people become complete idiots when they get behind the wheel. If it's not another car, truck or bus, it doesn't exist. SQUISH.
