IDG, Apple in discussions on East Coast Expo

IDG World Expo today announced it began discussions regarding Apple's role in upcoming Macworld Conference & Expo events, confirming that Apple will participate in Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco in January 2003 with a presence on the show floor as well as the keynote presentation from Steve Jobs. IDG also says that both parties have also agreed to hold ongoing discussions about Apple's role in upcoming East Coast Macworld events. (Over the weekend, IDG suggested it may attempt to squeeze Apple by leveraging attendance at other non-East Coast Expos.

    Great opportunity

    This is a great opportunity for Steve Jobs to tell Charlie Greco and his moronic company to go s**** themselves. Apple should partner with a different company to run "Apple Expo SF and Apple Expo NY" instead of IDG's loser Macworld c***. Nobody needs IDG; they aren't the only game in town. Example scenario (meeting between Charlie Greco and Apple officials):

    Greco: "So, you guys are finally coming to your senses and stepping of your high horse. Great! Now, you guys WILL participate in the Boston expo and you WILL endorse it publically. These are our stipulations for your continued participation in ANY Macworld event whatsoever."

    Apple Rep: "Well, uh, I don't know..."

    [Steve Jobs barges into the conference room]

    Jobs: "Charlie, I have one thing to say to you: f*** YOU. Get the h*** out of my conference room and get the f*** off my campus."

    [Jobs dials number on phone]

    Jobs: "Please have security escort Mr. Greco off the premises."

    [Jobs turns to Greco]

    Jobs: "Thank you, Charlie, for your cooperation. We'll send you free exhibit hall passes to the Apple Expo SF in January, if you want to attend. Goodbye."
