Celartem acquires Extensis for $9M+

Celartem Technology USA recently agreed to aquire Extensis for $9- to-$11 million from ImageX. Extensis is a leading provider of software for creative professionals in the digital imaging market. Celartem sees a "strong synergy" between its core technology -- VFZ (Vector Format for Zooming) -- and Extensis' digital media applications: "Celartem's core technology for imaging is a perfect match with the Extensis brand, their products and their customer base," said Osamu Ikeda, CEO of Celartem USA.
