ZIP archives containing files with large filenames can cause a buffer overflow when extracted with Stuffit Expander 6.5.2 and earlier, according to research by Rapid7. Stuffit Expander 7.0 does not contain this vulnerability, explains developer Aladdin Systems. Version 7.0 is a free download for Mac OS 9/X users.
