MyiCal.com is a new free sharing service for users of Apple's iCal calendar program, which allows calendars to be published via WebDAV instead of uploading static calendars. An alternative to the $100 .Mac service offered by Apple, MyiCal is hosted by goBlox Technologies on Xserve servers. Future plans include Web-based email, Internet storage, community calendars and more.

    Yehaa...

    Best thing to happen since Jobs rediscovered his ego... Now if someone could just get all the 10.1 (ie 10.2) bug fixes into the software update control panel for free...?

    Free for now...

    Just remember, this is a free service, subject to the sponsors paying the bill. i.e. at some time they might pull the plug and it may start costing. So you have been warned if that happens, you can not complain.

    NOTHING IS FREE!

    There’s not free lunch in life people, there is or will be a catch to this. They probably have ads galore or will sell your personal information.

    free=sucks

    just look at hotmail and yahoo. adds and changing EULA without permission. .mac is good, but should be built into the price of a new computer. try it for a year and see if you want it. nothing is free so quit grumbling

    IDEA

    Apple should raise the prices by $100 on each machine, and then "say" that the .mac is free for a year. Steve, are you reading this?
