Adobe today announced that it is rebranding its Web site for the designer and developer community. Now called Adobe Studio Exchange, it allows Adobe designers and developers to upload and download thousands of easy-to-install add-ons for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and GoLive. It also holds more than 5,000 files contributed by more than 180,000 members, and is part of Adobe Studio, a Web resource for users to learn tips and tricks and share ideas with other members of the design community.

    What was the old name?

What was the original name of Adobe Studio Exchange?

    I forgot already. :-(

    So great.
I looked at the new site. At the bottom, they mention
    something I hadn't heard about, "Atmosphere", a 3d/web app.
It looked very interesting so I clicked to it's product page.

Tried to download the beta. Oh. Windows only.
That sucks. It dampened any desire to examine the site further.

Adobe shouldn't make OS X users have to pick up scraps.
They call it a support center for professional designers?

    Thanks for your support Adobe.

In regards to Atmosphere being a "Windows only" product.....

    From the Adobe website....

Adobe is currently in the process of building the Macintosh version for Atmosphere 1.0, which will support Classic mode. We will communicate the key issues that users may encounter once we conduct testing on our Mac build. Adobe plans to offer native support for Mac OS X in the next major release of Adobe Atmosphere.

    That's a lot of people..

...working on each file! If there are over 5,000 files contributed by more than 180,000 members that means that it takes an average of 30 members to contribute one file.

Damn! Those files must be really huge...
