The update isn't necessarily for dual processor configs. I have a G4/450 DP and it also said that the update isn't needed by my computer.
Why compain if the update isn't for you? Maybe you already have the update in some type of updated ROM. Yes, you wasted time downloading the file. But it's just 400 KB...
I also have problems on my Sawtooth G4/400 AGP.
Odd.
It seems that the installer doesn't see non-US versions 9.0.4 to 9.1 of the MacOS as MacOS 9.0.4 through 9.1. Is this going to be the same nightmare as with the GameSprockets installer?
I also think Apple should give a little more than one sentence of information when posting these kind of system updates. The updater also told me I didn't need the update. It would be comforting to know why.

G4 AGP Update
Why is Apple not stating that these updates are for dual processor configurations? It is wasted time checking, downloading and then at install it states that the update is not needed by your computer (G4/500). I guess they figure Mac users are mind readers and don't need documentation (the read me says nothing just G4 AGP running 9.0.4).
