    Is Q3:A needed for Q3:TA?

I know this is a simple question, but I'm confused.

Is the full version of Q3:A required to run Q3:TA?

    Thanks. :)

    How do you do it?

Has anyone actually taken the data from the CD and played the full version of Team Arena?

    Thanks,

    Josh

    It is simple...

There is a missions folder on the cd, I forget where... not hard to find. Inside it is a file called pak0.pk3. Take that whole folder, drag it into your existing quake folder. Rename the mission folder to missionpack. If you have already updated q3a to 1.27g, then you are all set. As long as you have a LOT of RAM, everything should go without a hitch... I have been enjoying the game for 2 weeks now!

    arrrgh

and they wonder why "Mac specific" game boxes sell less. They just tell us "Oh, go out and buy the Windows version"... so, Mac sales are dismal, but Windows sales are through the roof.. "gee, nobody plays games on their Mac" they'll think, and next thing we know, "Oh, we're dropping Mac support due to lack of sales"...

I can just see it now. *sigh*

On the flip side, why can't ALL game manufacturers do this with their games? No "platform specific" versions - 1 box for Mac/Windows/Linux (like Terminus) or just say "Needs computer to run. Instructions for Mac/Win/Lin inside."
