    Capitalism reigns supreme

Where the rest of the world sat on its hands during Tiananmen, it takes an upstart computer company hanging out its wares to change world! Right on! Stick it to the man! Can porcelain badges and Mao hats emblazoned with the apple logo be far behind?

This is so schweet. I bet there isn't a lameway store there.

    Capitalism Must Suck

How does trading with a totalitarian regime the disregards human rights, does not recognise the right of people to live democratically (Taiwan) and also has occupied Tibet make capitalism rule? All it says is that Apple like many other companies puts profits before morals.

You know there was totalitarian capitalism tried before in n*** Germany!

    humanitarian, yep.

it sure is humanitarian to not trade modern consumer goods with china. That way the chinese will never have computers!

just because something might benefit the communist government doesn't mean it harms the average chinese. Believe it or not, a chinese middle class is growing quite well because of trade.

    Apple & China

Maybe this will get the FileMaker folks finally scrambling to put out a version that supports Chinese (double-byte) characters.... even tiny little Microsoft offers double-byte support for its OS and database/server products.

    Why the h***...

SHOULD the Chinese have computers? What makes them "entitled" to them? EFF 'em.

All of a sudden Steve's decision to pull the Dalai Lama from the Think Different campaign makes sense. A Clinton-addict making nice to our enemies in China should no longer surprise anyone.
