Some new Apple Power Macs are shipping with Mac OS X 10.2 build 6C125, instead of the 6C115 retail version. It is not clear if build 6C125 is a post-10.2 maintenance revision, or simply a version specialized to the Power Mac hardware.

    10.2.1

Could be the new 10.2.1 build that I've seen popping up in places online. Got some Finder FTP fixes, etc, in it

    No, it's not 10.2.1

This is only for hardware support for the new Power Macs, nothing more.

    My new G4

My new dual 1 GHz G4 (the new DDR model) came with 6C115. I bought the machine at an Apple Store on 8/17. So, I don't see how this build would be for hardware support.

    You're right...

...it removes all the debug code, "fixes" Finder FTP, does your dishes, gives you a massage, and cooks you dinner.

This is the reason why I don't invest in the first release anymore. I know there will ALWAYS be updates, which I thank Apple for trying to make their OS more secure. So it's not about always trying to have the latest.

However, just as they want to release their products as fast as possible, I'm avoiding possible compatibility problems - hardware and software not only of third parties, but even that of Apple. Just read the recent posts at xlr8yourmac.com and you'll see various (and similar) problems being posted by the readers regarding their Jaguar installation.
