Buena Software has released Effect Essentials 1.1 plugins, an update to its set of 10 video effect plug-ins work with 8-bit and 16-bit per channel video in Adobe After Effects 5.0 under both Classic and Mac OS X. Version 1.1 improves the Digital Interference plugin to add frozen/stuttering audio, performance improvements in the Edge Manipulator, the ability to crop the edges of the repeated images without requiring precomposing, the ability to choose audio from any layer in the Frame Manipulator plugin, better memory handling in HSV Curves and SuperRGB curves, and 14 new compositing modes in Radial Glow. A fully functional, 25 day demo of the $250 application is available and includes the free, non-time-limited Camera Flash effect.
