A 674-page study put out by TrendWatch Graphics Arts (TWGA) states that in the next five years, the number of digital color presses installed in commercial printing establishments will increase 564% to almost 10,000 units. Also released in the study, 35% of design and production firms, who own a digital camera, say their use of color scanners has decreased as a result of purchasing a digital camera. The results were gathered through a TWGA poll of the industry's most prominent market segments including: Newspapers, Book and Magazine Publishing, and several Graphic Design and Advertising Agencies.
