Media 100 today began shipping its Media 100 i digital video system for Mac OS X, its solution for professional content creators, broadcast designers and digital media artists. It includes a new OS X-compatible interface along with new visual effects creation and sound design capabilities. V8 now ships with all Media 100 i configurations including the new Media 100 i/DV, which starts at $2,000. The application is now threaded for better performance on multi-processor systems, offers improved workflow with up to 8 graphics tracks, a new QuickTime Video Output, better integration with Boris FX, and new host-based audio processing for up to 24 real-time audio tracks as well as new audio reverb and dynamics processing for all-in-one audio sweetening.
