StudioLink allows the transmission of video and other data via 1394 over optical fiber up to 1,000 meters without signal degradation or the need for additional repeaters or boosters. Uses include transfering large video or data via FireWire at speeds of 500 Mbps. Each kit includes one repeater and a power adapter priced at $699.
