Formac announced Formac Studio DV, and advanced media converter that converts analog video to DV and vice versa. Analog video is converted in real-time to native DV, with full screen resolution at 30 frames per second. Audio is recorded at a maximum sample rate of 48 kHz (16 bit). The bus-powered FireWire converter is hot-swappable and priced at $290.
