    Where's the VIVO

Damn, and I REALLY wanted one of these too :( Money in hand, take it!

But, now I can't. It is very un-ATI like to not provide VIVO features.

Dont' care about a tuner, just basic VIVO.

What is it with ATI? They always seem to leave out one feature that prevents them from having the perfect board.

For $400, I'll wait until it has VIVO capabilities.

    If Only . . .

Mac hardware could like the video graphics card industry. It seems like every 6-8 months, they are able to increase the power and speed of their GPU's and video hardware. 8 pipelines to proces pixels! DDR memory.

    Competition.

There is real Compettion in the Graphics Card market with 2 companys creating a board that does exactly the same thing. Thats why performance the boards continually improve, most FPS PC gamers usually buy at least 1 new graphics card a year.

This is ATI we are talking about. The Mac drivers will be half arsed, have only half the features, and be 6 months late.

    Competition is growing

Please don't ignore all the growing developments in the graphics card market. With the SiS Xabre, Trident XP4, and ATi Radeon 9000, low end cards are getting super good and super cheap. And, not exactly low end, but Matrox recently got their Parahelia card out, which offers graphics pros and gamers a new host of features. Even the legendary Bit Bro's have finally put out reference boards. With 5 companies in the fray (possibly 6!!!), this can only mean good things for both technological development, and the bottom line. We're talking sub $100 cards that do 80% the performance of the GeForce Ti4600. And, only 3 months behind it. No more buying last years card for the budget conscious. After 2.5 years or so of ATi/Nvidia domination, the industry is finally going somewhere. I certainly can't wait. I can't imagine what this means for the mac crowd, but a 3rd CTO arrangement would definitely mean better pricing, better drivers, etc.

    128 Megs of DDR RAM?

It's funny how just a graphics card has just as much RAM than the eMac...

My only hope is that developers will actually take advantage of all this RAM!
