Apple's recently posted Security Update 2002-08-02 (available last Friday via OS X's Software update) addresses the Integer Overflow In XDR Library vulnerability noted in the CERT Advisory CA-2002-25, as noted by Apple's Security Updates for Mac OS X page. The updates also addresses Multiple Vulnerabilities In OpenSSL and an off-by-one buffer overflow in mod_ssl Apache module. Some of these services are turned off by default in Mac OS X Client, but are on by default in Mac OS X Server. Apple recommends that all client and server users apply the security update.
