O'Reilly & Associates is hosting its first Mac OS X Conference from September 30 through October 3 in Santa Clara, CA: "Mac OS X is one of the most exciting things happening in the industry today. It's the confluence of three great traditions -- Unix/open source, Java, and the Mac -- and the best of all worlds." Session topics include "Migrating from Mac OS 9, Windows, *nix," Servers and Networking (NetInfo, Samba, RAID, WebDAV, NFS), Development Tools (Project Builder, Interface Builder, and Java-based IDEs), iApps, databases, development languages/frameworks, and iPod hardware hacks. Speakers include James Gosling, Jordan Hubbard, David Pogue, and Tim O'Reilly. Early registration, starting at $1,200, ends August 9th. Exhibit passes are free.

    $1200 for attendence? They have GOT to be joking. Yeah us mac users pay more for our computers, but $1200 to go to a conference is flat out crazy...
