Apple ships 10GB iPods to customers

Apple has begun shipping the new 10GB iPods to customers, according to several readers, following the retail availability of the 20GB model late last week. The $400 10GB iPod is thinner and lighter than its 5GB and 20GB counter-parts and ships with a wired remote, new headphones, a carrying case, and updated iPod software, which Apple is expected to post for current iPod owners later this month. Windows versions of its iPods are also expected to begin shipping later this month.

I can personally confirm this, as I was notified this AM that my 10 gig pod has been received at the FedEx loading dock in Tao-yuan city, Taiwan. No idea how long it takes FedEx to ship a bazillion iPods from Taiwan, but I'm betting that I'll be listening to tunes on it before the weekend.
