    Yeah, right

But if we don't support Apple's iBook laptop initiative, then the terrorists win.

    yeah "part of the reason

yup, it plays a part, no part. That's still a part. (disclaimer: concept taken from Simpsons' eps on recycled newspaper)

    calling all cynics

It may be marketing mumbo jumbo, but I know that having access to Macs early on in my life dramatically changed what I wanted to do. Maybe... just maybe, feelings of accomplishment (e.g. being able to use a computer) leads to the desire to achieve more in life.

    Comparison

They should have at least said what the percentage of graduating seniors was the previous years.

    We think otherwise

here in Sweden and a research has noted that the students did not retain and learn better in school by using a personal laptop but got better at fact gathering.

    In Idaho

I live and work Idaho and had the opportunity to have one of the Cascade High School students follow me in a job shadow program for a day.

I was impressed at his level of computer knowledge as well as application knowledge. I think this is definitely a step in the right direction, I only wish I had that kind of opportunity in high school back in my day!
