    Stylush?

Uses alcohol-based ink, watch out for weaving print heads and erratic drivers, next model will be called the "870 DT", reviewers rate it AA, etc. etc.

"The Perfection 1240U Photo LE is a 42-bit, 1200x2400 dpi scanner."

I'm always disappointed when journalists pass on the manufacturer's claims without indicating in some way that this is merely Epson's advertising copy, unverified by actual tests. How does MacNN _know_ that it does 1200x2400? Epson has become notorious for claiming resolutions which their scanners do not actually achieve.

Why doesn't MacNN call this a claimed resolution, instead of reporting it as a fact?

    Simple Answer, Resolution

Epson does not give MacNN a sample for every product it makes for the Mac. I am sure that they would love to review it like it does in its own reviews section. Look at reviews.macnn.com.

MacNN does a wonderful job of posting the blurbs of news. It gives those of us who do large purchases and small purchases the beginning information to which we then look into te product if it interestes us in any way.

Keep it up, MacNN, and Merry Christmas!

    alright...

I just got all the alcoholic puns... very funny! I was slow on the pick up there..

This would be a nice space saver, but as with all AIO type things, if one brakes, you lose them all...

    left out a line...

    I edited myself out there...

I wanted to say this would be a good combination, all-in-one, to save space.. etc..

(maybe a second cup of coffe would help)

    Color-matched for new Mac

This color combination is designed specifically to complement the new G4 enclosures which (hopefully) will be ready for MWSF next month. So now you know at least what the color combinations for the enclosures will be like...here's hoping that they have better than the 600 MHz quad processors that'll be top of the line...

    Ha!

Wonderous! We get a new color enclosure to complement the 533MHz G4 chips in the "new" machines. I guess jobs still believes that colors sells extremely expensive computers.. Go Apple!

You seen the the new Apple offerings already?
Or just been snorting too much rumors?
Jobs knows speed is important. Motorola needs to have conveyed on them some physical pain to know the speed problems and have some encouragement for fixing it.
    Dolts that they are.
