Adobe today announced Premiere 6.5, an update to its digital video editing software that adds real-time preview functions, new hardware support, more audio tools and the Adobe Title Designer, which has more than 100 pre-designed templates and typographical controls, including outlined text, leading and kerning and more than 90 high-quality Adobe fonts. It also features integration with iDVD and DVD Studio Pro to export MPEG2 files from the Adobe Premiere timeline as well as royalty-free audio and TC Works SparkLE, a 2 track stereo audio editor. Upgrades to the $550 application are $150. It is expected ship in the third quarter for both Classic and OS X.
