Rio has begun shipping the Rio 800, the company's high-end, $270 MP3 player. Features include up to two hours of music storage, a voice recorder, rechargeable battery and remote control. The device comes bundled with Casady and Greene's SoundJam MP.

The unit comes with a built-in condenser mic, and it's actually fairly good quality (32 Kb ADPCM, so don't expect anything stellar).
