Apple today announced it will provide live audio stream via QuickTime of its Third Quarter Earnings Conference Call on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at 5:00pm ET. Late last month, Apple warned of an revenue shortfall of about 10%, which it said was due to a nonexistent seasonal uplift in sales, soft demand, and a lagging global economy.

Not likely given that Apple's sales figures were up last quarter as compared to the industry. The only reason Dell makes money by selling c*** for pennies is that it has no expenses. Technology doesn't innovate on its own. Apple innovates and then Dell waits for the ideas to be adopted by other PC makers to make the PC parts cheap, then it gets on board.
It is a shame that so many people buy from them seeing as, if we all did, innovation in the computer industry would come to a grinding halt.
I guess it requires you to look at the slightly larger picture when buying a system and realize that the extra $50 is going towards making your next purchase better. If you save that cash and buy a Dell, then it just gives their CEO more reasons to say that he invented the question the computer.
