Asanté is now shipping GigaNIX, its new $260 Gigabit Ethernet adapters for Mac OS, Windows and Linux systems, which it claims is an average of 16% faster than Apple's integrated Ethernet port on Gigabit Power Macs, offering transfer speeds of almost 40MB/sec.
