MacNN reader Rob Hartill notes that Hewlett Packard has updated its OS X scanner support area to indicate that OS X drivers for the 6300 and 7400 series ScanJet scanner drivers are due later this month. The page notes that drivers for the 4400, 5300 and 5400 series are still scheduled for Summer '02: "I've been watching this url for months. HP have been changing the dates from 'Late 01' to 'Early 02' to 'Spring 02' to 'Late Spring 02' to 'Summer 02', so the new "July '02" promise should not be taken as 100% reliable."
