Metrowerks today introduced an update to its educational tool, CodeWarrior Learning Edition v3, a simplified version of its CodeWarrior tool suite designed for learning computer programming in C/C++ or Java on Windows or Mac OS. Version 3 adds Code Completion for C/C++ and Java, and Java Power Tools for development of Java-based GUIs with automatic error checking. It includes a voice-over multimedia tutorial, Carnegie Mellon's Graphics package (to add geometric shapes and graphic images), and a special Advanced Placement (AP) Module designed to help high school students. It is $80 with a $20 discount for academic licenses.
