Intuit is considering reinstating development of its QuickBooks small business accounting software for OS X, according to a NewsFactor article that notes a recent customer survey soliciting user feedback on the potential release of QuickBooks Pro 5.0 Edition for Mac, including a question that asks "what reasons would most likely compel customers to purchase QuickBooks Pro 5.0 (including an option of OS X compatibility), and requests ranking for importance of new features."

    I'll believe it...

...when I see it. Intuit's piss-poor Mac support and lackadaisical attitude throughout these past few years would make me very reluctant to use any new version of QuickBooks. s**** 'em!

    Rock and Hard Place

Although I encourage and entreat savvy Mac users to investigate alternatives to QuickBooks Pro to show Bill Dumbbell and InTWIT that we don't take being snubbed lightly, the fact of the matter is that Quickbooks for Mac *WILL* bring more PC converts over. It's reallyt that simple.

So we *do* need QuickBooks. And frankly, if they actually did a decent job updating it, many small businesses would be thankful. Anything that brings in more PC converts gets my vote.

    More c*** from Intuit

After 6 years of abandoning the Mac platform with QuickBooks despite Bill Campbell's sitting on Apple's Board of Directors, they're just "CONSIDERING" developing QuickBooks again? Intui can go to h***. MYOB AccountEdge is just fine.

    s**** Them!

After abandoning me and my business by not updating Quickbooks Pro several years ago, I vowed NEVER to return to them again. I switched to MYOB and never turned back. I even switched CPA firms once I found out they could not take my MYOB electronic information because they used Intuit exclusively.

Not only do we not want to see any Intuit products on our Macs ever again, We will go out of my way to see to it that none of our clients, friends or professional associates do either. They have no idea what customer loyalty means or how badly it can hurt them.
