QuickTime market share stats to be revised
updated 09:10 am EDT, Wed June 19, 2002
QuickTime's official market share numbers are expected to jump sharply in early July, when "Web statistics giant Nielsen/NetRatings is scheduled to release research based on new counting methods. According to one source privy to an early draft of the Nielsen/NetRatings study, QuickTime's home usage jumped fourfold in April 2002 under the new methodology compared to the last time the company published similar research in December 2001." The article notes that methodology change stemmed in part from Apple's lobbying efforts to raise QuickTime's profile in the Web community, according to c|net.

Cool!
QuickTime is getting better. I hope that Apple will release the final final QT 6 soon, with all the bugs fixed. It seems to run better than 5, but still has some compatibility issues users would like to see solved. Great work Apple once again!!!
Oh, yeah...and the traditional First Post Whoo Hoo part!!!
