Marcel Bresink has released TinkerTool 2.2, an OS X system utility that offers control over system parameters such as dock animation, display of hidden files in the Finder, custom column views in the Finder, various scrollbar arrow styles, default font in Cocoa apps, and other parameters. A special Jaguar version is available for developers using the developer preview of the next version of OS X. The GNU OS X Public Archive also released 2 utilities (useradd, groupadd), which "use nis to emulate the same commands on other UNIX like operating systems." [Std, Jaguar]
